The Eden House was formed by Tony Pettitt, former bassist for Fields of the Nephilim. With a rotating cast of singers, including Julianne Regan (All About Eve) and Monica Richards (Faith & The Muse), and occasional guitar from ex-FOTN Peter Yates, these folks started out with some major Goth street cred. Luckily, they do not disappoint. Lush atmospherics and occasional moments of Rock power this project and make it a great choice for the season of the witch.
Frankie Rose are a dream pop {think shoegaze but with the layers of guitar replaced by synths} project from NYC. And yes, they did release a cover of an entire album by The Cure.
The Temper Trap are an Australian Alt-pop band who were all over the radio in 2009 with the songs "Sweet Disposition" and "Love Lost". They've just returned with a new album after a decade away.
STP started in San Diego, far away from the clouds and gray of Seattle. But they got thrown into the Grunge zeitgeist anyway. They were a damn good hard rock band, though, and it's too bad Scott Weiland got caught in the all-too-familiar R'n'R cycle of addiction.
